If you have sent a theme to me recently, it will be posted soon.
I have worked it down to only 9 new themes left in my inbox. But don’t let that stop you…keep ‘em coming!

Typo continues to be developed, enhanced, and updated.
The good news is that traditional Typo themes built around default.rhtml and your own CSS will continue to work.
The bad news is that enhancements to the new view-overriding system may break depending on whether you are using 2.6.0 or trunk (i.e. the most cutting edge development version of Typo).
If you are using trunk and have noticed differences, please file a bug.
In any case, your theme will qualify for this contest, even if it only fully works with the Typo trunk.
If you have any significant problems with this, contact me at boss [at] topfunky [dot] com or find me on irc (#typo).
This contest has already increased the number of public themes by a great amount, an is also helping to improve the theme engine built into Typo.
Thanks to all those who have submitted themes, and to those who are still working on themes!

There has been quite a bit of wailing and gnashing of teeth over the limits of Typo’s theme engine.
The hard-working Scott Laird and three of his clones (scott-1138, scott-1139, and scott-1140) have heard your cries and have reached their collective hand down into the Subversion repository.
Typo 2.5.8 now includes the ability to use individual view files in your template if you want to modify the layout of the comment form, sidebar content, etc.
It also works with (and requires) Rails 0.14.1 (or greater).
Resources
Of course, older themes will continue to work with Typo 2.5.8. For the purposes of this contest, and in response to public demand, you can target Typo 2.5.8 if you want to (in order to use the new view-modification features).
